At last, a natural long-stem fiber diet for Tortoises. Zoo Med is proud to announce the Natural Grassland Tortoise Food. This new formula contains long-stem fibers and proper protein levels that helps promote the normal growth and proper shell development of your tortoise. Only Zoo Med's new tortoise food contains this necessary fiber which is not found in any other commercial food. The long-stem fiber comes from added natural grasses like oat, timothy and alfalfa which play an important part of the natural diet for Forest Tortoises. Plus, our food contains nutritious Papaya and Mango, Dandelion Greens and Yucca yummy stuff that tortoises love!

This formula is ideal for the following tortoise species: Russian, Greek, Sulcata, Leopard and Pancake Tortoises.

Moisten pellets with water to stimulate feeding behavior and create a flavorful mash that tortoises love. Many tortoises love lettuce; however diets of mostly lettuce are unnaturally high in protein and low in fiber. If your tortoise will only eat lettuce, thoroughly mix small amounts of lettuce into the mash. Slowly reduce the amount of lettuce offered at each feeding until your tortoise has switched completely. Zoo Med's Can O' products (worms or snails), sold separately, are enjoyed by Forest Tortoises and can be offered occasionally.

Always provide clean drinking water. Store unused food in a cool, dry area.
