I've been using PH down ever morning for ten days, and so far my pond's ph has not dropped below 8. I test early every morning as suggested on label, and treat soon after. My tester remains at 8.2 ph. My pond is small at 200 gallons so I think it should be dropping a little each day as described in the product description.
