DOG COLLAR SIZING & DOG COLLAR COLOR CHARTS
Getting the proper fit for a dog collar
depends on your dog's size. A big, strong dog can easily break a collar
or leash that is light weight, so they need a heavy collar and leash.
Small dogs, on the other hand, don't need to carry around a heavy collar
        or leash.
For your dog to be comfortable and safe, the
        collar must fit properly.
Here's a general guideline for measuring
        for a new dog collar:

Place two of your fingers between the dog's neck and the collar; there
should be no more than the width of those two fingers between the neck
and collar. If it fits looser than this,  the collar could slip
over the dog's ears. Check your dog's neck occasionally to see if your
dog has any redness or hair loss under the dog's collar.   Scroll
down for an approximate Breed/Size chart
When Measuring for harnesses, measure around the dog's chest
at the point just behind the front legs.

One of the very best dog collars I have owned. They
last a long time.

Sturdy. I've used Hamilton collars on my dogs for
26 years. Buy one when your dog has grown; you'll
never have to buy another.Tim, Mon Jul 22, 2013

Our 238 pound Mastiff requires a large, strong,
durable collar. This collar meets those requirements
and is well made, too. We are very happy with this
product.Alexa Forman, Sun Nov 25, 2012

We have a fairly large dog and these are the only
collars we've found that are rugged enough to last.
We especially like the metal reinforced eyelets. Very
durable collar!Jim, Wed Apr 25, 2012

My husband and I are not fans of the
"Quick-clip" plastic buckles and wanted a metal
buckle for our Golden. I searched in vain for one in a
color I liked and finally found one on Greg Robert.
The color matches what was online and the collar and
buckle are very sturdy and well made. The gromets on
the holes are an added bonus. Nancy, Thu May 19, 2011
