Welcome to our Do-it-yourself Pest Control Guide!

A pest is an animal, plant, fungus, microbe, etc. that is somewhere that you don't want it to be. The dog is man's best friend, but a stray dog getting into your garbage can at night is a pest. A dandelion is a pretty flower, but to most people it's a weed (just another name for pest).

The table on the left categorizes each pest so that you can then find the right product to control it.

General Product Lines

  • Insect Growth Regulators (IGRs) - This group of chemicals work on certain stages of the insect life cycle, either by sterilizing the adult or preventing a pre-adult stage from progressing into the adult stage. These products are extremely effective and virtually non-toxic to nontarget organisms.

  • Organic Bug Control: A Breath of Fresh Air!
For many years we have enjoyed the convenience of killing bugs with aerosols. However, we have worried that traditional pesticides may be detrimental to the health of our families, pets and the environment, until now! VICTOR aerosols are made of a POISON-FREE brand formula which kills bugs yet can be used around children and pets.

  • Live Animal Cage Traps - Backyard Style carries every size animal trap imaginable.  From Stray Cat Rescue traps to pigeon or weasel traps .. we have them. Find out more about trapping live animals.

  • Insect Control for Trees Much emphasis is placed on lawns and gardens .. but trees need attention to keep them insect free, also.

  • Sonic Pest Chasers A kind, safe and inaudible method of chasing that nasty pest away

Deer are beautiful - but they can cause a lot of problems in your backyardHumane Deer Control is important.

A Note About Clean Homes

Regardless of how clean or new your home is, your home is not immune to pest infestation. Pests such as termites, roaches, ants, beetles, spiders, earwigs, bees, ticks, rodents and other pests can be drawn to your home by the prospect of food, warmth and shelter. Some pests are merely annoying, but some can carry disease (rats), while others are poisonous (certain types of spiders), and termites can eat through your very home and cause thousands of dollars and more in damage.
